INTRODUCTION
The UMT will provide pastoral support to military personnel during times of
grief or crisis. Your supervisory chaplain may not always be available to
perform these duties. He may request that you help him to provide support
for a person, if you have received prior training in this area. Remember,
always to seek his approval before attempting to comfort any soldier in a
grief or crisis situation.
