Preparation of the Altar.
When the above steps are completed, you follow the procedures below to prepare the altar. Figure 2-3
shows the altar prepared for an Orthodox worship service.

Place the altar frontal with the colored front facing towards the congregation. The correct

color can be determined by asking the chaplain.
Place fair linen on top of the altar frontal. The fair linen will cover the portion of the altar
o
frontal that overlaps the top of the altar.
