Place two candlestick assemblies equidistant along or near the rear corners of the altar.

Center one candelabra along or near the rear edge of the altar. The candelabra should be

adjusted to form an inverted "V".
Center the crucifix on the altar, directly in front of the candelabra. (If a floor length
o
crucifix or a crucifix is affixed to the wall behind the altar, the crucifix will not be placed
on the altar.)
Place a "Liturgy Book" to the left side (congregation's left) of the crucifix but along the
o
front edge of the altar. The "Liturgy Book" should remain closed on the altar.

NOTE: Items that are put into place by the chaplain are consecrated items and should not be handled by
you, the chaplain assistant.
