Rental rates
vary and change frequently. Most films recommended
will cost between
fifteen and thirty dollars to rent. However, your
Army film Library
or audio-visual service may supply them to you free
of charge or at a
reduced rate.
Feature length films can provide a good change of pace for
retreat settings.
You may choose films with a message which simply
provide escape and entertainment. Be aware that feature films can be
expensive to rent.
They can, however, add valuable variety and
stimulation to a retreat. Be alert to the religious implications of
films such as A Man for All Seasons; Cool Hand Luke; Billy Jack;
Kramer vs. Kramer; and Ordinary People. Check with your Army library
system for information on suppliers who are closest to you.
