(1) This section provides spaces for all the personnel involved in the counting, recording
and securing of the money to sign their names.
(2) The counters must sign their names on "COUNTED BY" lines.
e. The counters will wait while the offering is verified by the chaplain assistant.
PART B - PROCEDURES TO VERIFY THE COUNT OF THE OFFERING
1.
You must verify the count of the offering in the presence of the counters.
2.
Repeat the procedures followed by the counters but record the amounts on a separate Offering
Control Sheet.
NOTE:
The use of a separate Offering Control Sheet keeps you from being influenced by the
counters' figures while double-checking their computations.
3.
Compare each of your numbers with the counters' numbers.
4.
If the numbers are all the same, sign on the VERIFIED AND SECURED BY line in Section IV
(Figure 2-3) of the original sheet and accept the offering for safeguarding.
5.
If the numbers do not agree, recheck your steps. If you made the error and your figures now
agree with the counters', sign on the VERIFIED AND SECURED BY line in Section IV (Figure 2-
3) of the original sheet and accept the offering for safeguarding.
