WHAT . . . TO PUBLICIZE
a)
All UMT Office Activities: Each public activity of each day
at each chapel can be publicized as well as UMT sponsored activities
held elsewhere. "The Big Picture" will be illustrated by publicizing
a week of activities in a major command religious program.
b)
A Special Activity: One unit's religious activities may be
publicized.
This may be weekly Religious Education classes or an
Easter Sunrise service, etc. It may be a special weekend retreat or
a congregational pot luck meal.
c)
A distinctive faith group: Faith group promotion for
Protestant and Catholic occurs during the familiar seasons of Lent,
Easter and Christmas.
High Holy Days provide annual highlights for
members of the Jewish Faith.

WHO . . . TO PUBLICIZE
THE CHAPLAIN: A man or woman with a familiar title, but an often
misunderstood job description.
Training, motivation, skills, and
mission, all make the chaplain a valuable resource to the military
community.
Yet, by many indications the chaplain is a resource in
need of some good "P.R."
